PROVENANCE
The collection of Tonka Ninić (1934-2024), violinist, concert master and leader of the Zagreb Soloists. Ninić, a member and leader of the Zagreb Soloists for nearly forty years, is counted among the most significant instrumentalists of the 20th century, multiple award-winning for his exceptional artistic work, among other things also awarded the Vladimir Nazor Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2003. He was a professor emeritus and long-time music pedagogue at the Music Academy in Zagreb.
