The frightening Last Judgement is the largest composition in the glass painting of icons, an iconographic theme which was best painted by the icons painter Matei Țimforea from Cârțișoara, in the Făgăraș Land. The composition is split into three parallel registers, with the following levels: The superior one - the Kingdom of Heaven, the Earth, and the inferior one, the burning Hell. The walls of the Kingdom of Heaven are made with gold leaves, the whole composition being seen as a growing mountain. The multitude of characters drawn with particular elaborateness can be noticed. The background is a crepuscular nightfall, the pinkish colour having a strong visual and artistic impact, which is characteristic to the artistic manner of Matei Țimforea from Cârțișoara, in the Făgăraș Land. Even if split into registers, the icon features a homogeneity and unity of ideas, the eye being mesmerized by the royal doors of the Kingdom of Heaven.
