On a blue background sprinkled with white stars, the figure of Saint Demetrius is rendered, who is represented riding a white horse and killing the giant Lie. His apparel is painted in coloured tint drawings specific to the icons from Mărginimea Sibiului. An angel flying above some clouds hands him a wreath.
