PROVENANCE
Collection of Tonka Ninic (1934-2024), violinist, concertmaster and leader of the Zagreb Soloists. Ninic, a member and leader of the Zagreb Soloists for nearly forty years, is considered one of the most significant instrumentalists of the 20th century, repeatedly awarded for his exceptional artistic work, including the Vladimir Nazor Lifetime Achievement Award in 2003. He was a professor emeritus and a long-standing music educator at the Music Academy in Zagreb.
