PROVENANCE
Dušan Čalić collection (1918 - 1993); Dušan Čalić was an influential economist and politician of the 20th century, whose career was synonymous with the post-war and communist period in Yugoslavia. A member of the SKOJ and KPJ since his teenage years (1933., 1939.), after World War II, Čalić rose through the ranks, becoming an important state figure - minister of trade, state secretary for industry and economy, state and republican representative, ambassador of the SFRY to Hungary (1963.–67.) and a Member of the Federal Council (1967.–89.). Alongside his political career, he was a successful economist, teacher, and writer, dedicating his life to the social and economic development of Croatia.
