The state prize was established in 1949, and it could only be given once, according to the regulation on its award, to the citizens of Romania who distinguished themselves in the fields of sciences, arts, and arts. It had three classes, and the certificate was accompanied by a very large amount of money (for 1st class, in 1952, the prize was 50,000 lei, the equivalent of one hundred average salaries at that time). The piece is kept in the original box. The item is in a very good state of preservation.
