The photo captures a moment during the official visit to Romania of Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev, which took place between 18 and 25 June 1962. Beyond the relatively relaxed atmosphere in the image, the visit was very tense one due to the aggressive attitude of the Soviet leader toward the communist leadership of Romania.
