Hand-colored vintage engraving after printing representing a 32-direction wind rose, with toponymic and meteorological indications in French, Italian, and Latin. The central floral element and the two-tone rosette design are characteristic of the maritime and navigation maps of the 18th century. The piece is part of the Atlas published in Nuremberg by the German cleric and cartographer Adam Friedrich Zürner (1679-1742).
