PROVENANCE

The coin was purchased from an auction house in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The owner has all the purchase documents, and copies of these, with personal data and prices erased, will be made available to the buyer.

Obverse legend: IMP CAES NERVAE TRAIANO AVG GER DAC PM TR P COS V P P Reverse legend: COS V P P S P Q R OPTIMO PRINC The coin features on the obverse the laureated bust of Emperor Trajan, oriented to the right, alongside the abbreviation of the phrase in Latin language "Imperator, Caesar, Nervae Traiano Augustus, Germanicus, Dacicus, Pontifex Maximus, Tribunicia Potestate, Consul Quintum, Pater Patriae", while the reverse illustrates a trophy of weapons composed of breastplates, shields and spears, surrounded by the abbreviation of the words "Consul Quintum, Pater Patriae, Senatus Populusque Romanus, Optimo Principi".
