Ivo Režek (Varaždin, 1898 - Zagreb, 1979) was a Croatian painter and cartoonist who was educated in Zagreb, Prague, and Paris. He often transferred motifs from his native Hrvatsko Zagorje to the canvas - landscapes, scenes from the lives of the working class and rural world in rich tones of brown, green and ochre. This is the kind of motif brought by this oil on canvas which is dominated by an old house between tall green foliage.
