Research information

The artwork was part of the "Urban Spirit" exhibition, National Museum of Contemporary Art, Bucharest, 2025.

The urban spirit is currently in continuous expansion without having an end point. The tapestry becomes a support for expressing the past through interwoven points, called protopixels. Thus, we have a background of the past through the represented image, where the tapestry has the power of time, while pixels become the manner of the future. This juxtaposition between tapestry and pixel reflects a certain dynamic of the urban spirit. On the other hand, the pixel represents the technological expansion, the vision of the digital future and the speed with which the urban spirit reinvents itself!
