PROVENANCE
The lot is part of the collection of Romanian diplomat Vasile Stoica, which the National Museum of Art of Romania seized in 1977, inv. 7/83, and which, following a long series of lawsuits after the fall of the communist regime, was given back to the diplomat's heirs, during 2009.
