The work was created, according to recent theories, by the Jesuit priest Andrei Ilia, who was presumed to have Romanian origins. The work is a major one due to the information regarding the Christian churches in Transylvania, a province of the Habsburg Empire, including the Orthodox church. On the title page, in the top right corner, there is a stamped ex-libris of ownership. On the back of this page there is a printed ex-libris Titus Furdui. The binding is period.
