In his painting, Victor Fota uses a technique learned by studying the old Flemish and Venetian methods, with rigid and successive layers of colour. Using this technique, he creates allegorical, surreal, almost digital images that impress by photorealism and rich detail. Victor Fota's works describe his inner reality through an eclectic approach to aesthetics. Through a mixture of surrealism, combining introspection, reason and a bit of the subconscious, his work recalls postmodernist maximalism. The chosen topics focus on contemporary man and his inner struggles, his relationship with the technology around him and the inner effects of this relationship. With this approach, Victor Fota is constantly trying to generate different perspectives. At the same time, the works are presented as a visual narrative of inner feelings and thoughts about human nature and its connections with the environment. Aesthetically, its purpose is to make the viewer question the detail and clean execution of the forms created through oil painting. Victor Fota has exhibited worldwide in galleries such as Jonathan LeVine - NY, Corey Helford - LA, Ryan Joseph - Denver, Hauch - Prague and Galateca - Bucharest. Some of his paintings have been featured in international magazines such as WIRED, Vice, Hi-Fructose and Juxtapoz.
