Astronomically and astrologically, Chiron lies somewhere between Saturn and Uranus. Specifically, it actually orbits between the two planets. And what it represents connects their basic ideas. From the perspective of mythology, Chiron was an evolved centaur who had overcome his instinctual side, hence his spiritual character. He was knowledgeable in the science of healing, botany, pharmacy, and medicine. Moreover, he was a teacher to many, including Asclepius, whom the Greeks regarded as the god of medicine. Also according to legend, Chiron was wounded by a poisoned arrow, but with all his skill, he failed to heal his own wound. However, his last gestures of generosity were to others. He gave up immortality in favour of Prometheus. What's more, he ascended into the sky in the form of a constellation, with the promise that he would remain a guide and a mentor. In this way, Chiron shows a trauma, most likely from childhood, that we try to overcome throughout our lives. It can be disappointment, rejection, disillusionment, abuse, loss, or inability to control ourselves. Chiron marks the place where we felt vulnerable and where we can become experts by learning repeated life lessons. It points the key to solving it, gives us wisdom, patience, and knowledge.
