Sorin Ilfoveanu focuses primarily on the valorisation of the common life and transcribing it through the pictorial semantics of his sensibility. He sums up, both in form and colour, the simplicity of the telluric universe in which he works. He proposes an art for the initiated ones, for those eager for knowledge and for those who have already acquired the precepts of his semiotics. He captures, through a synergy of lines, an entire universe in which he encrypts symbols and mystery. Ilfoveanu becomes complete master of the construction of shapes and proposes more versions of the human-nature, human-animal relationship. The fascinating intersections of straight and circuit lines which composes an affective narration of his work is materialised in a group of sign-characters. The female character appears in his creation as a graphic element who tends to go beyond the boundaries of the canvas. The protagonists are presents with crossed hands, focused in one place. Often, an incisive animal presence intertwines with the artist's compositions and is directly associated with the human plane. Ilfoveanu sketches the woman naked, with closed eyelids, free of any useless artifices. He styles the belly from which the element of animal nature arises and changes the protagonist into a prisoner of the direct transit of life through her plexus. In the present work, the artist sketches the majesty of the beauty of the peacock, highlighting the telluric identity of the bird by assigning ambivalent metaphors. "Line Lace" from which the peacock is created, as the artist names it, leads to the permanence and recording of the feelings of a plastic sign raised to the level of a symbol.
