-He is inspired by the works of Aivazovsky-whom he met in Odessa after 1880. He met Gustave Courbet during his studies in Paris - He practiced painting as a hobby-one of the founding members of the Romanian Athenaeum Currently, one of his large-sized seascapes decorates the Council Room of the B.N.R.
