The rectangular plaque features on the obverse the profile bust of King Michael I, surrounded by a laurel wreath above which is the small coat of arms of Romania. The crossed cannons, the unanimous symbol of the artillery, intervenes between the portrait and the name of the plaque. The reverse contains the effigy of Marshal Ion Antonescu, with the title of Leader of the State, alongside 2 cannons, marking technological advancements in this field, and the years 1843 and 1943.
