Constantin Virgil Gheorghiu (1916-1992), a diplomat and priest, was remarked as a poet and playwright, as well as one of the important leaders of the Romanian community in exile who opposed the communist regime in Romania. Among his works are the famous writings "Ard malurile Nistrului" ("The Shores of Nistru Are Burning") and "Ora a 25-a" ("The 25th Hour"). The present copy is part of the writer's first book of poetry.
