Writer D. D. Pătrășcanu (1872-1937) offered a copy of his book to Ion Vinea (1895-1964), founder of the avant-garde literary magazine Contimporanul, and to Marcel Iancu (1895-1984), an avant-garde painter, who was also involved in the publication of the aforementioned magazine, which quickly became one of the pillars of the avant-garde movement in Romania. D. D. Pătrășcanu was the father of communist leader Lucrețiu Pătrășcanu.
