A collection is like never-ending love, it is shaped over time, over many years of surrounding oneself with objects whose presence bring joy. In icon art, ages are suspended, thus achieving time and space compression. This auction will include, along with icons signed by or attributed to reputed iconographers such as Savu Moga, Matei Țâmforea, Pavel Zamfir, or Ioan Costea Verman, icons created by the celebrated post-Brâncovenesc school or by the Greek school, which was the basis for the evolution of Romanian medieval art.
