The copy is part of a special print run for internal use only, of just 50 copies not made available commercially, printed for editorial work and obtaining censorship approvals for publication. The edition was created by literary historians Gheorghe Zane and Elena G. Zane, who decrypted the ciphered letters sent or received in that era by Nicolae Bălcescu.
