Martha Greceanu was the sister of the historian Radu Greceanu and the fighter pilot Tudor Greceanu, one of the aces of the Romanian military aviation during the Second World War. The correspondence refers to the publication by Monica Lovinescu of an article referring to the memoir book written by Tudor Greceanu and maintained by Martha, "The Road of the Few."
