Simeon Marcovici (1802-1877) is part of the first generation of young people who will study in the West, in his case in Pisa and Paris, before the revolutionary generation of 1848. Appointed professor of mathematics and rhetoric at the National College of Saint Sava in Bucharest, he stood out for his rich journalistic activity and as an editor of Romanian legal texts. This work represents a translation and adaptation in Romanian of a similar work in French by Le Tourneur. The binding of the copy is of the epoch, made of cardboard, with leather corners and spine.
