Obverse: Crowned monarch, standing frontally, holds his spear in his right hand, and the Globus Cruciger in his left hand He wears a long coat, tight around the waist. Obverse: Split shield, tilted towards right: I four beams; II full or star. On the left corner of the shield, there is a helmet open towards the right side, and, above it, there is an eagle with its head turned towards left and its wings closed. The Ilc type of the Ducat was coined during the reign of Mircea the Elder at the Târgoviște mint, starting from 1402/1405, until 1418, when the monarch passes away and is buried at the Cozia Monastery, which he founded.
