In 1788, French cartographer Rigobert Bonne (1727-1794) published in Paris a very famous work, "Atlasul Enciclopedic" ("Encyclopedic Atlas"), which also includes the item hereby. The map illustrates the Roman Empire's possessions in Europe and northern Africa during the era of maximum Roman expansion in these regions.
