Works such as the ‘Cartea orelor’ (Book of Hours) were intended for the laity and included liturgical songs related to the liturgy, with the psalms divided by hours. Very popular in the West and Central Europe, these books had pages adorned with beautiful floral and stylised geometric decorations. The item is in a very good state of preservation.
