PROVENANCE
Collection of Tonka Ninić (1934-2024), violinist, concertmaster and leader of the Zagreb Soloists. Ninić, a member and leader of the Zagreb soloists for nearly forty years, is considered one of the most significant instrumentalists of the 20th century, multiple award winner for his exceptional artistic work, amongst other things also the Vladimir Nazor Lifetime Achievement Award in 2003. He was a professor emeritus and longtime music educator at the Music Academy in Zagreb.
