'The Feminist Martyr' is the title that accompanies the first sketch kept in the notebook, an unfair irony against women involved in the feminist movement. Other pages of the piece include sketches, attempts at portraiture, and some handwritten notes from the painter's stay in Paris Pencils, charcoal and ink on vellum were used. The covers are cardboard and the spine is of fabric. The notebook contains 6 pages of notes and 58 pages of sketches.
