Asen Peykov is a great sculptor who worked from the 1920s to the 1960s. Most of his life was spent in the eternal city of Rome. There he developed his talent and ideas, and left a rich legacy not only of his sculptural works and his collection of paintings, but also the memory of a creator who inspired many people. The period of the 1960s was a turning point in Peikov's life. It is from that time that his most famous and perhaps his biggest project dates - the sculpture of Leonardo da Vinci, which greets arrivals at Rome's Fuimcino airport. And at the end of the decade, Asen Peykov returned to Bulgaria (for the first time in 31 years), when a competition for a monument to Khan Asparuh was announced. The sculptor begins work on the assigned subject. He created the project "The Heroic Cavalry of Khan Asparukh", which is a multi-figure composition with horsemen led by Khan Asparukh. The work was not realized and Peykov received only an incentive award from the Bulgarian jury. Based on this information, we can assume that the two small sculptures presented in the lot with the title "Allure" are highly likely to have been part of the corresponding project of Asen Peykov.
