"The Order of the Republic of Tunisia" was offered to the wife of communist diplomat George Macovescu, Mariana Emilia Macovescu, by the president of Tunisia, Habib Bourguiba, in 1967. The piece is made up of a plaque, neck-piece, decoration, and rosette. It is kept in the original box, together with the decision of the State Council of the Socialist Republic of Romania, which awarded its holder the rights to wear the order.
