The large-scale album, bound in pegamoid covers with synthetic leather spine and corner protections, was handcrafted as a propaganda material by the communist activists of the Ministry of Education (Schools) led by communist leader Ștefan Voitec. The photographs, advertising flyers, propaganda materials, newspaper clips and manuscripts contained in this album show images from the literacy courses organized by the ministry in various factories, military units, and other institutions in Romania.
