The PhD in chemistry of Elena Ceaușescu, wife of the communist dictator Nicolae Ceaușescu, aroused public controversies and rumours, soon stifled by the regime’s enforcement means. Written in reality by a team of researchers who agreed to give up the results of their work, the doctoral thesis opened for Elena Ceaușescu an extensive journey, up to the point of the so-called establishment in science. She was appointed director of the Chemical Research Institute in Bucharest, elected member of the Romanian Academy, and decorated with numerous national and international orders. The piece is part of the small series of typed, original copies, the production of which was mandatory according to the regulations in force at the time.

For clarifications regarding the bidding procedure, hammer price costs, guarantee, payment, and collection terms for the winning lot, we recommend carefully reading/re-reading the Bidding Regulations.
