The order, made up of the main piece, cross, insignia, and rosette, was offered to the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of communist Romania (1972-1978), George Macovescu, by the officials of the republic of San Marino. The pieces are kept in the original box which also contains the authorization issued by the State Council of the Socialist Republic of Romania to wear the decoration in the country. The certificate is kept in the original case.
