The Treaty of Peace from Adrianople, signed in 1829, sanctioned the defeat of the Ottoman Empire by the Russian Empire. A special annex was dedicated to the Romanian Principalities. The treaty imposed Russian protectorate on them, abolished the Ottoman commercial monopoly, and paved the way for the introduction of Organic Regulations in Iasi and Bucharest. On the first page of the copy, there is an ex-libris stamp labeled Dimitrie A. Sturdza. The binding is new.
