The work represents a documented history of the reign of the Prince of Transylvania, Gabriel Bethlen (1580-1629), based on the study of archives and official documents. The first edition in two volumes appeared between 1612 and 1623. The binding of the copy is new, made of pergamoide, with corner pieces and a leather spine. There is a stamped bookplate of ownership on the title page.
