Tavannes Military Pocket Watch Monopusher Chronograph, edition for the Ministry of National Defense, Romania, period of the Second World War, rare piece. Excelsior Park mechanism, with manual winding, caliber 15, with chronograph function. White dial, Arabic numeral indicators, secondary register at the 6 o'clock, chronograph function register at the 12 o'clock, retrograde tachymeter. Among the few military watches used under specification by the Romanian Army, the Tavannes chronograph inscribed on the case M.A.N. S.S.A.U. holds a special place. Considering the operating period of the Subsecretariat of State of the Land Army (S.S.A.U.) it can be estimated that the purchase was made between 1940-1947, with the mention that, probably, the watches were brought closer to 1940 (on the eve of the war) when significant purchases were made for the army's equipement.
