Research information

Lower right, signed and dedication, with ink, "Dedicated to Mr. Sebastian Malz, the sensitive artist-printer of this lithograph, as a sign of my consumption and gratitude"

From his travels around Germany and India in the late 20s and 30s of the last century, Boris Georgiev created some of his most vivid portraits - of Albert Einstein, Mahatma Gandhi, and especially those of Rabindranath Tagore, which exist in three versions. The portrait depicted in this lot is from 1929, including a dedication from the author to the seal engraver Sebastián Malz.

For clarifications regarding the bidding procedure, hammer price costs, guarantee, payment, and collection terms for the winning lot, we recommend carefully reading/re-reading the Bidding Regulations.
