Research information
A smaller version in size (”With the bear (I)”, 66 x 49 cm), coming from Dr. G. Barbu's collection, participated in the Retrospective Exhibition ”M.H. Maxy”, Bucharest, Dalles Hall, October-November 1965, and is reproduced in the exhibition catalog, cat. 54. The differences between the two versions are both in size and in regards to the attitudes of the characters in the background. A variant of the work (”With the bear II”, 66.3 x 49.5 cm) is found in the collection of the Mureș County Museum.
