Research information

The artwork is an interpretation of "Rustic Idyll", a piece preserved in the Arad County Museum. A version of the artwork is reproduced in the book "Centenar Theodor Aman", published by Venus, Bucharest, 1991, cat. XXV. The artwork is mentioned in "Theodor Aman, the printmaker", catalog by Mariana Vida, Bucharest, 1993, on page 90. A version of the print is reproduced in "The Repertoire of Romanian Graphic Art from the 19th Century", vol. I, cat. 181. A version of the artwork is reproduced in the exhibition catalog "Theodor Aman, The First Romanian Modern Artist", Art Safari, published by MMB, Bucharest, 2023, on page 162. A version of the artwork is found in the collection of the Brukenthal National Museum, Sibiu.
