The artwork is an interpretation of "Rustic Idyll", a piece preserved in the Arad County Museum. The artwork is mentioned in "Theodor Aman, the printmaker", catalog by Mariana Vida, Bucharest, 1993, on page 90. A version of the print is reproduced in "The Repertoire of Romanian Graphic Art from the 19th Century", vol. I, cat. 181.
