The studies and numerous travels carried out in France would include Nicolae Grant in the circle of Fontainebleau "plein-air" painters. The landscapes, flowers and interiors executed by the artist unmistakeably belong to the Impressionist movement. Both in his landscapes and his interior works, Grant uses a lively coloured chromatic range, seeking to create luminous compositions. In the current work, the artist directed himself towards rendering reality as thoroughly as possible, as well as a warm, familiar atmosphere. He worked with meticulous details, leaving behind a work standing as a testimonial of authenticity captured on canvas. Nicolae Grant remains a fine connoisseur of nature, always impressed and seduced by its beauty. His interior works also remain faithful to the external climate, which Grant includes every time, under the guise of flowerpots or well-lit windows.
