Research information

The work was most probably part of the personal exhibition organised at Casino Españiol in San Juan, Puerto Rico, 3 - 15 February 1917, when the artist exhibited works made during 1914-1916. The work was part of Samuel Mutzner's personal exhibition at the Louis Ralston & Son Galleries in New York, 2 - 24 March 1917. The work is mentioned in the article dedicated to the exhibition in March 1917 in "The Brooklyn Daily Eagle", New York, 18 March 1917. The work was reproduced in the "Impressionist landscapes in Romanian paintings" album by Mircea Deac, the Monitorul Oficial Publishing House, 2009, at page 113. The work is reproduced in the "Painters of portraits. On vanity in art" by Mircea Deac, Monitorul Oficial Publishing House, 2013, at page 88. The work is included in the Estate category of the National Mobile Cultural Heritage, by Order no. 38848 of 02.11.2016.
