Corneliu Zelea Codreanu (1899-1938) was the main leader of the Iron Guard since its establishment in 1927 as the Legion of the Archangel Michael. He began his political career by assassinating the prefect of the Iasi police, Constantin Manciu. Many other assassinations followed, the persecution of the Jewish community and the conflict with King Carol II who ordered the arrest of Codreanu and other legionary leaders. This volume was published after the he coming to power of the Legionaries with General Ion Antonescu.
