Professor at the University in Iași, Alexandru C. Cuza was the inspiration and mentor of the Legionary Movement. Some of the leaders were his students. A.C. Cuza founded in 1923, together with Corneliu Zelea Codreanu, the Christian National Defence League from which the Archangel Michael Legion led by Codreanu will detach. In this volume, A.C. Cuza supported the idea of removing Jewish students from Romanian universities, despite the fact that they had full rights as Romanian citizens.
