Felix Aftene is not just about transposing his own microcosm onto flat surfaces, where all the question marks and answers coexist together, in the form of mythical characters who celebrate their existence through various manifestations, on the contrary. The artist chooses to selectively release one of the protagonists of his hieratic scenes, cementing their symbolic specificity and actually constructing a mirror discourse through their metamorphosis into three-dimensionality. Aiming to reveal the complexity of the human being, Felix Aftene projects his deified figures thanks to suggestive stylistic interventions, from the painting universe limited by the frame of a canvas caught on the frame towards a context where the possibilities of modeling matter become infinite. The recurring blue in his paintings, does not hesitate to make its appearance also on the irregular surface of the sculptures. Through a special effect of oxidizing bronze, the artist outlines certain features of the character, composing a game of textures and contrasts. The color and texture of oxidized bronze are synchronously found in Felix Aftene's plastic compositions and sculptures, thus becoming stylistic marks of his own work.
