The Holy Great Sovereigns Constantine and Helen are represented, on either side of the Cross of Crucifixion, observing the Byzantine iconographic tradition. The Cross is placed on the symmetry axis of the composition and is held by the Great Sovereigns Constantine and Helen, who are rendered standing on either side of it. The two saints are presented wearing imperial robes and crowns.
