Except for the Archangel Michael, who is represented standing and God the Father rendered in an open sky, above several clouds, the whole icon is covered by an encasing featuring a landscape with trees. Archangel Michael holds the spear in his right hand. The painting - typology and themes - is characteristic to the 19th century Russia. A wide golden frame adorned in pronounced relief with vegetal motives border the icon, which is inserted in a glass case.
