In the depth field of the icon, bordered by a profile frame painted in red and gold, on a background painted in dark blue, Jesus Christ is rendered down to his waist, blessing with his right hand and leaning his left hand on the Gospel, which is opened, featuring a text written in ochre. He is wearing the traditional red chiton and blue himation, the apparel's creases being highlighted with gold. Jesus wears the crucifer aura around his head. His face, rendered according to the traditional iconography, is shaped in a palette of ochre shades. In the lower middle part is the fragmented inscription "Stan the pain[ter] ... 1776 ...", written in black.
