The present chapter is part of a very extensive work published under the formula "Notices and extracts from the manuscripts of the royal library" in Paris, to which the author of the present document, the French Hellenist of German origin Charles Benoît Hase (or Karl Benedict Hase, 1780-1864), also collaborated. The chapter refers to the chronicle of Moldova by Nicolae Costin (1660-1712), the son of the better known today Miron Costin, translated into French after the Greek edition made by Alexandru Amiras. The pages are marked by the passage of time. The binding is new.
