"Let be known to the jurors of Radu Cotorogea from Cainesti, namely: from Cainesti, Radu Botoe and Pades and from Frâncești, Stoica the craftsman and Preda and Albul and from Cucești, Nedelco and from Șerbănești, Stan the dyer and from Păușești, Stănilă Orzea and Tepcea and from Pietrari, Ivan and from Genuneni, Dragoi and Stepan, they swore by Simion, the second chancellor, that, after having arranged his entire estate from Cainesti and Mănăilești, they did not sell his vineyards and the orchard from Valea Pleșcioei and that they are 6 years since the chancellor is continuously working those vineyards, taking their wine, and he did not give the estate documents, nor the lawsuit documents with his sisters-in-law from those estates and vineyards, when they have also sold those vineyards. They shall tell the truth with their souls! And the day after Easter. And the mayor, Radu, the second chancellor. February 20, year 7144 (1636). Blessings to the voivode Matei, God's grace and lord. The document issued in the chancellery of the ruler of Wallachia, Matei Basarab, on February 20, 1636.
